Persevere

For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Romans 15:4

Dark days.
Nothing but clouds, rain, wind, and snow.
For those walking through a season of winter,
it’s easy to forget…

Above the dark clouds,
The sun is still shining.

Persevere is a collection of seven accounts of people who faced impossible, painful situations. These men and women were abandoned, unloved, betrayed, provoked, weary, overlooked, and oppressed.

But God.

He broke through the clouds of their darkest days with His love, compassion, and grace.
The same God that comforted and strengthened them is willing to do the same for you.

As you read and meditate on the stories of those who have gone before, may you be filled with comfort and hope to persevere through your own dark days.

I read this book at one go on my Kindle.. glad it’s in paperback as well! It would be a great gift for friends 🙂 love the simple language used and how each character is compared to Jesus.
